Who we are
Hydrafolia makes the Hydrafolia self-watering planter, the Hydrafolia app and this website. For any privacy question or request, email hello@hydrafolia.com.
The Hydrafolia app and devices
The app talks to your Hydrafolia devices directly over Bluetooth. There is no account, no sign-in and no Hydrafolia server.
- Readings (soil moisture, temperature, humidity, tank level), watering history and device settings are stored on the device and on your phone. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- The app does not include analytics, advertising or tracking.
- The app asks for Bluetooth permission only to find and connect to your devices. Some older Android phones also ask for location permission to scan for Bluetooth devices. The app does not read or store your location.
- Deleting the app removes the data on your phone. To clear a device, email us and we will tell you how.
This website
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the date you signed up and the country your request came from. We use it only to tell you when Hydrafolia is ready. We do not sell or share it. We keep it until the launch email is sent, or until you ask us to delete it.
The website runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests and keeps short-term logs to deliver and protect the site. Fonts load from Google Fonts and the 3D viewer loads from jsDelivr, so those services receive your IP address when you visit. The website does not use cookies or analytics.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Email hello@hydrafolia.com and we will reply within one month. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
The app and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
